The desire for individual products on the market is growing - the production order sizes are getting smaller and smaller. This means that a production process is required that is flexible enough on the one hand, reflects the desire for the corresponding variety, and on the other hand does not impair profitability.
Here comes our single-ply cutter, which is available both as a static machine, for example for prototyping and small series, as well as with a conveyor belt, ideal for production that has to react flexible in terms of production order sizes.
Cutting directly from the roll minimizes time-consuming pre-setting and saves time. The feed via a wear-resistant conveyor belt automatically transports the material into the cutting zone, after cutting the material can be conveniently sorted from a predefined clearing zone.
The intuitive user interface of the system impresses with its clarity and is easy to learn and should it not be fast enough, we offer a second cutting bridge that saves up to 50% cutting time, depending on the patttern to cut.
The 3001 C single ply cutter series in particular can be produced in widths of up to 4.10 m and lengths of up to 7.40 m. In contrast to the "Cutty" series, these systems are made to measure and thus meet individual, exclusive customer requirements.
The system was developed specifically for use of cutting textile fabrics, knitwear, technical textiles and special materials. The variety of parts offers fast and flexible options.

Single ply cutters
The “Cutty” single-ply cutter series from Kuris is the fourth generation of the proven cutters which has been completely overhauled and optimised. It is noted for the individually optimised cutting head with a programmable Z-axis. The machines are all designed for maximum productivity and optimum production quality. The tool technology can be adapted individually and precisely to the respective material. This means that optimum cutting conditions are always achieved. The fourth generation is equipped with Multiflex tool adaptation. As well as offering extremely short plunge times, this system also offers a persuasive choice thanks to the fast positioning and cutting speeds. In addition, the tool-change system reduces the set-up times considerably because fewer adjustment operations are required. The cutter achieves positioning speeds of up to 100 metres per minute and, depending on the type of material, the cutting speed is up to 70 metres per minute. The machine is optionally available with a 7.5 or 11 KW vacuum pump. The standard user interface and menu navigation ensures that the machine operator can quickly get to grips with the machine across a range of technologies. Operating errors and the cost of training are drastically reduced. Even at high speeds, the machine cuts consistently and reliably. The mobile and innovative control system is very user-friendly.

Single-ply
Compared with other industries and materials, leather cutting requires maximum attention and increased effort. This is why, in the leather industry in particular, the desire for a high degree of automation has always been present. We have set about doing this and have studied theentire production process in great depth. Our solutions have enabled us to really stand out in the leather market. Efficient and at a high level, topics such as smart order management, leather administration, leather scanning, powerful nesting and precise cutting are addressed.
Splitting the overall process into several individual processes enables a high level of optimisation and efficiency. The leather hides are digitised with the scanner and assessed in the leather storage facility. The production order is created automatically via an interface with the ERP system. Large potential savings are guaranteed through the combination of orders and the targeted preselection of the leather hides and ultimately also through multi-hide nesting.

Optical devices such as cameras and projectors are used for acquisition and visualization. The OT1 Tool is a cutting tool perfectly matched to leather. The integrated cleaning brush guaranteed a reliable process for the optical devices. The service life of the cutting pad is also significantly extended.

Single ply
Compact, fast and reliable! The single-layer cutters from Kuris are the fourth generation of the tried and tested cutting systems that have been completely revised and optimized. The cutting heads with programmable Z-axis are characteristic. The machines are all designed for maximum productivity and optimal manufacturing quality. The adaptive tool technology can be individually and precisely adapted to the respective material. This means that optimal cutting conditions are always achieved. The fourth generation is equipped with the Multiflex changing system. In addition to extremely short piercing times, this system also impresses with its high travel and cutting speed. With the tool change system, setup times are also significantly reduced, as considerably fewer setting processes are required.
The image processing system was specially developed for use on textile and carpet cutting machines from KURIS and is used for the automatic determination of cutting coordinates. Depending on customer requirements, the materials to be cut are scanned in 2D or 3D using the latest camera technology. The cutting coordinates calculated from this are then passed on to the cutting system for further processing.
In addition to the possibility of enlarging or reducing the scanned shapes as required, it is also possible to round corners as required. Various calculation modules that can be adapted to customer requirements help the operator to determine the optimum cutting coordinates. The textiles / carpets are recorded with the integrated camera system. The cameras allow a quick recording and immediate playback of the scanned image
Image. The intuitive user interface enables the system to be handled in the shortest possible time. Easy communication between software and cutter.
The software processes and filters the recorded images so that the grid is generated directly for cutting. The cutting files are transferred from the scan software directly to the HMI, without additional commands from the operator. No CAD files are necessary.
Developed for the toughest conditions. Cutting head with a high number of strokes (14,000) and 2-edged special knife with 15mm cutting height. The modular cutter can also be equipped for the following applications: Milling Hollow drill Drawing / marking Oscillating knife Driven circular knife.
